We Facilitate a Safe and Welcoming Environment Where our Residents can Learn to Break the Chains of Addiction
The main goal of the Casa de Sobriedad 5to Capitulo project is to provide an opportunity for Spanish-speaking men to address their substance abuse issues in an environment that caters to them, that allows them to be themselves, while addressing very tough and volatile changes in their lives.
Casa de Sobriedad 5to Capitulo roughly translates to 5th Step Sober House. The 5th step of the 12-step Program encourages us to Admit to a higher power, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongdoings. This program is designed to help those who want the help, those who are dedicated to bettering themselves and are willing to help better others.
Residents of Casa de Sobriedad 5to Capitulo will have the unique opportunity of living in an atmosphere of fellowship, working towards the same goal of sobriety. With out trusted network of sponsors and mentors, we have created a safe and supportive environment where we will work closely with our residents to reinforce their continued recovery.
Our Mission
Meeting the needs of Spanish speaking men suffering from addiction to alcohol and drugs by addressing the whole mind, body, and spirit through a safe and secure recovery environment.
Living in a sober recovery home is a crucial step for sustaining lifelong sobriety. The longer we can separate ourselves from our old life of addiction, the better our chances of staying clean and sober. It is critical for each man to take ownership of his treatment and recovery journey from the onset.
Our Program
Our program provides the following for our participants/residents:
Group Therapy | Relapse Prevention | 12-Step Life Recovery Classes
Project Therapy | On-site AA Meetings | Community Service Activities
Transitional Work Program Opportunities | Monthly Weekend Camping Retreats with Intense Therapy
Our Requirements
Potential residents must meet the following requirements:
Age 21+ | Spanish Speaking | Commitment to 30-day Black-out period* | Be Willing to comply with the Rules of Conduct | Agree to random alcohol & drug testing | Attend a minimum of one (1) Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting a day
